TAMING HATE SPEECH MONGERS

The National Steering Committee which is under the Ministry of Information and technology was on the nerves of some contoversial social commentators and broadcasters. Last month they recommended them to be investigated for hate speech. Hate speech is often affliated to politics, a game of thrones. With trending social media platforms and blogs, one blindly joins the bandwagon of hate speech mongers. Kenyan politics takes the perfect example. Most of the leaders we happen to have today belong to a particular peer group, caste or as is the case today. Ethnicity will always be a social vice thtat divides a state. If no drastic steps are taken before it eventually escalates it can detriment the society.
